Melody,
ReplyDeleteI went to the organized classroom blog. I really liked the ideas the teacher had on rainy day recesses. That is something every teacher needs to plan for even living where I do, Arizona. =) She suggested dancing during the rainy day recesses. What a great idea! The children get to move and get some energy out and the classroom doesn't get messed up by the students getting games out. I am going to do this for my future class. Thanks for sharing that blog.
Amber
Thank you Amber. I really like that site as well because other teachers share techniques that they ave used and has worked.
DeleteMelody,
ReplyDeleteThese are all some great links for early childhood classroom designs and organization. I especially liked the link to kinderart.com. There were some great resources there that the students could use to help organize the classroom. When the students see their handiwork displayed for others to see, they show pride in themselves. I also liked the link on classroom arrangement. I liked the different scenarios it gave for accommodating different class sizes. It will be very helpful when first setting up your classroom and when reorganizing it later.
Sharon
Thank you Sharon. Art is always a great way for teaching early childhood children. It gives them an opportunity to express themselves and enjoy learning.

DeleteHi Melody,
ReplyDeleteI have seen similar sites to the classroom architect, and I really love being able to play with "furniture" to set up a future classroom. I like that the site justifies briefly why classroom setup is important. The Visualize your new room website was pretty amazing because it allowed you to look at different PDF's for different age groups along with pricing. The setup also explained how it aligns with NAEYC which is also great. On a visual standpoint, I like that you included a photo with your blog! I wish I knew that could be done or I would have done the same!! So glad you were able to think and figure that out.
